Archiving and Digital Preservation

Jurnal Garasi Buku dan Obrolan Keilmuan (SIBOOK Journal) is committed to maintaining the long-term availability, accessibility, integrity, and preservation of its scholarly content. The journal uses and supports digital preservation mechanisms available through its Open Journal Systems (OJS) publishing infrastructure.

PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)

SIBOOK Journal preserves published content through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a distributed digital preservation service provided by the Public Knowledge Project for eligible Open Journal Systems journals.

Preservation status recorded through the ISSN International Centre's archival monitoring services indicates that SIBOOK Journal content has been preserved by the Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network.

LOCKSS

SIBOOK Journal provides a LOCKSS Publisher Manifest as part of its digital preservation infrastructure.

The Publisher Manifest identifies journal content and grants permission for authorized LOCKSS preservation systems to collect, preserve, and serve eligible archival content.

CLOCKSS

SIBOOK Journal also provides a CLOCKSS Publisher Manifest to support compatibility with CLOCKSS-based digital preservation workflows.

The presence of the Publisher Manifest enables authorized preservation systems to identify eligible journal content and associated metadata. The journal periodically reviews its preservation status and metadata to ensure continued accuracy.

Preservation Principles

SIBOOK Journal seeks to preserve the scholarly record by maintaining:

  • stable and persistent article URLs;
  • accurate journal and article metadata;
  • DOI identifiers for published articles where registered;
  • accessible article files and associated publication metadata;
  • transparent correction and retraction records;
  • digital preservation through appropriate archival services.

Preservation metadata and publisher manifests are reviewed periodically, particularly when journal identity, publisher information, contact information, licensing, or publication policies are updated.

Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) , unless otherwise specifically indicated.

The journal and its publisher retain the right to preserve and disseminate published articles as part of the permanent scholarly record in accordance with the journal's copyright, licensing, and preservation policies.
