Analysis of the Leadership of the Head of Raudhatul Athfal in the Implementation of the Independent Curriculum

This study aims to describe the leadership practices of Raudhatul Athfal (RA) principals in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum and digital transformation, based on a survey of 17 RA principals in Ciamis Regency. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method using Likert-scale questionnaires and open-ended questions. The findings reveal that RA principals frequently and consistently carry out instructional leadership, managerial, academic supervision, and entrepreneurial functions, as well as utilizing digital media for administration and communication. The major challenges identified include limited infrastructure, insufficient teacher qualifications, budget constraints, and low digital literacy among some respondents. Digital transformation is perceived as highly important for improving the quality of RA services, although it is not yet fully supported by adequate infrastructure and competencies. This study highlights the significance of continuous professional guidance by madrasah supervisors, the enhancement of leadership capacity among RA principals, and the strengthening of digital literacy to meet the demands of early childhood education in the modern era.
